About GCARR-CANADA

Protecting human dignity. Defending vulnerable lives. Advancing global refugee rights.

Who We Are

GCARR-CANADA (Global Council for Advocacy of Refugee Rights – Canada) is an international humanitarian and human-rights organization dedicated to supporting refugees, displaced families, and individuals who face violence, persecution, discrimination, and life-threatening risks.

We assist Women Human Rights Defenders, journalists, political victims, survivors of gender-based violence, and families fleeing extremist or authoritarian regimes. Many require immediate protection.

Our work includes documentation support, legal assistance, advocacy, and emergency humanitarian action. We collaborate with global networks to ensure vulnerable individuals are not left without help.

We believe every human being deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their life free from fear and oppression.

Our Mission

Our mission is to protect, empower, and advocate for refugees and human-rights defenders whose lives and freedoms are in danger. We provide humanitarian assistance, legal support, and emergency protection.

We work to ensure access to justice, international protection systems, and safe resettlement pathways. We uplift survivor voices and promote accountability for rights violations.

Beyond saving lives, we work to restore dignity, rebuild hope, and empower individuals throughout their journey to safety.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every person escaping violence, war, or persecution is treated with dignity, fairness, and compassion.

We aim for a global protection system where refugee rights are upheld, justice is accessible, and no vulnerable person is left behind.

Our vision is a future where survivors are empowered, communities are resilient, and humanity guides global action.
